My son, Dylan, just attended SH in PB today. I can't tell you how much the opportunity means to him. He hasn't slept for the past 3 nights and I thought he might implode from excitement right there on the beach. When he heard his appointment time he took off for Jennifer and announced he was ready to go out! You know, we give our kids all the therapies we can find but Surfer's Healing offers something therapy can not, pure joy of being out on the ocean with amazing surfers ensuring a safe and fun time. I saw as many smiles on the faces of parents as I did on the kids. There really is nothing like a day of Surfer's Healing. Thank you, thank you!!!!

Hey guys! Although our family won't be able to meet up with you this summer you will be in our thoughts and prayers. You are doing such great things for so many of us with children with autism! Keep up the great effort and work. I saw in the OC Register that Surfers Healing will be getting some donations from a contest. So glad that you are being recognized and supported by the community. You have meant so much to the Molyneux Family. Oh, and today.at ages 20 and 18, both of our children who are challenged with autism, were baptized in the ocean. They are so calm in the ocean environment that the crowds of others getting baptized didn't seem to phase them! Amazing day for our family. Thanks for helping the kids to get comfortable with the ocean.

I signed my son Kameron (9 yrs.) up for the 2010 Narraganset, Rhode Island Surfers Healing Camp on May 31,@9:01PM EST. I have not heard anything so far?? Last year he participated for the 1st time and all I can say is what a magical sight it was to see him as he rode in on his very first wave with the biggest smile I've ever seen :) This was truly one of the most amazing days that he will remember forever! (and he has not forgot) I was hoping he would get a 2nd year to experience the biggest thrill of his life. We are forever in debt to this wonderful organization for making this all possible. Do the notifies go out by mail or email? Thank you ~ Sincerely, Kerry

Dear Surfers Healing Crew,
My hats off to you for making Jordan's surf camp day a truly awesome experience. Josh was a wonderful instructor and still talks about him to this day. At 5 1/2, this was her first experience on the open ocean, and she seemed right at home. Thank you for your time, and generosity! We will pass along your outstanding message to our families with special needs children.

For the last three years we have been staying at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort on the same weekend they were hosting "Surfer's Healing" in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The first year that we checked in, my husband and I walked into the lobby of the hotel and immediately knew that the air felt different and we realized we were surrrounded by families with children on the spectrum. Easy to spot because we ARE parents of a wonderful young man with Asperger's. After much "mommy detective work", I found out what it was all about but would forget to sign up on the appropriate date. Last year, after seeing Izzy on crutches doing an interview outside of the lobby, I knew my son had to be a part of this wonderful opportunity, so I marked my calendar for the sign up date down to the minute. We got in and I think I am more excited at this point than he is. My son loves the water and we choose Wrightsville because he really enjoys the peace and hardwork required for kayaking. I hope surfing gives him the same peace because he starts middle school the very next week! Thank you, Izzy and all of your wonderful volunteers and contributors. We are looking forward to seeing you, I am sure Evan will introduce himself quickly. He will want to meet you directly-oh the joy of being Aspergian
