My son, Dylan, just attended SH in PB today. I can't tell you how much the opportunity means to him. He hasn't slept for the past 3 nights and I thought he might implode from excitement right there on the beach. When he heard his appointment time he took off for Jennifer and announced he was ready to go out! You know, we give our kids all the therapies we can find but Surfer's Healing offers something therapy can not, pure joy of being out on the ocean with amazing surfers ensuring a safe and fun time. I signed my son Kameron (9 yrs.) up for the 2010 Narraganset, Rhode Island Surfers Healing Camp on May 31,@9:01PM EST. I have not heard anything so far?? Last year he participated for the 1st time and all I can say is what a magical sight it was to see him as he rode in on his very first wave with the biggest smile I've ever seen :) This was truly one of the most amazing days that he will remember forever! (and he has not forgot) I was hoping he would get a 2nd year to experience the biggest thrill of his life. We are forever in debt to this wonderful organization for making this all possible. My son was part of the Narrgansett camp. He took every wave up. He came out of the water yelling Mom do you hear that they are saying good job to me good job to me. He is offically a surfer dude now. He has his own board. We are going all over RI and Mass raising funds for Surfer's Healing to come to RI many times over. As our children navigate a very difficult world it amazes me how the ocean has such power over them. Keep up the great work and we will see you in Narragansett soon. Dear Friends at Surfers Healing, We have not stopped singing your praises since we returned home.Our son Joshua attended Sept 18th in Montauk and it is there that we celebrated his 7th birthday.We are overjoyed at how wonderful the day went.God was with all of us on the beach.Thank you so much for making an incredible day possible for us.We will definitely come next year if we are so lucky.Thank you for bringing your kindness and love of surfing into my little boys life.We are planning on relocating to CA within the next 2 years.We pray that we can meet up with you again. My son, Laith, and I came down to San Diego in July for surf camp. He had such a great time, it was hard to get him off the surf board. In fact, he still talks about it every day and is planning on opening a crabby patty shack where he says he's work when he doesn't feel like surfing.
